Helping Our Youngest Learners Take the First Step: 2026 SAISD Kindergarten Jump Start

Future-ready begins here – and we're here to support every step of the way! We understand that starting kindergarten is a big change and an important step in a student’s academic journey. That’s why we’re excited to offer our incoming kindergarten students an opportunity to “jump start” their elementary experience. Open to all incoming kindergarteners, this program helps them understand what it means to be an elementary student and feel confident and prepared.

Our children need nutritious meals to learn, grow and thrive – even when school is out. Through San Angelo ISD’s Summer Meals Program, children and teens ages 18 and younger can continue to eat healthy meals, including breakfast and lunch, throughout the summer at no cost, just by showing up at a participating meal site. Free meals are now available at participating sites in San Angelo ISD and the Southside Boys and Girls Clubs.
