Last week, the Central High School Bobcats celebrated Homecoming Week under this year’s theme, “Where a Bobcat’s Dreams Come True,” leading up to the big game against Midland Legacy on Friday, October 10, at San Angelo Stadium.

Exciting news for Texas students! Texas Free College Application Week begins next week, October 13–19, 2025. During this special week, Texas residents can apply to any Texas public college or university for undergraduate admission without paying an application fee through the ApplyTexas application system.

The Hispanic Heritage Museum and Cultural Center honored a San Angelo ISD Difference Maker with a prestigious award at the annual Hispanic Heritage Month Banquet on September 27.

Earlier this month, San Angelo READS! kicked off this year’s Read Alouds with a special visit from City National Bank President and CEO Wrey Montgomery, who read aloud to kindergarteners at Fort Concho Elementary. Students explored the five senses in a fun and memorable way through “You Can’t Taste a Pickle with Your Ear” by Harriet Ziefert, marking the first book giveaway of the year.
